Stand Up Media Reports & Reviews (3)

I submitted my resume on Indeed. I got a text message from a woman I don't know the name, and I regretted deleting that message, but she said she is a recruiter from StandupMedia. She told me to download Telegram to do a text interview with someone named "Douglass Murphy." After a successful interview, he told me to be on Telegram tomorrow at 8 am. Once I came back at Telegram, he sent me a check for $2,500.00 and told me it would cover the list of equipment he showed me through the Telegram text. After the check was sent, I deposited it through my Bank of America app. But, I was placed on hold for almost a week, and it got rejected. When I told Douglass about it, he gave me another check that was $2,505.00. When I deposited it, the same thing happened. Hold for a week, then rejected. I told him it happened again. So, he insists on me creating a few Coinbase accounts. I don't know how many Coinbase accounts I made, but after I made the Coinbase account and I stupidly gave them my login Infos, something will always come up like "I didn't complete the verification" "I need to increase my purchase limit" and "I need to enable my bitcoin purchase." Eventually, Coinbase caught on to the different accounts I made and disabled my buys. So, they decided to give me my last check, which was $3,900.00. This time, I had to go to the bank in person to try and deposit it. I came into the bank, brought the check to the teller, and the teller deposited the check for me. Now, I was naïve, and not once did it ever cross my mind that the so-called "Douglass" and the StandupMedia thing was a scam until I asked the teller about why my previous deposits didn't go through. The teller told me that these checks were rejected because they were counterfeit, and I need to stop accepting their text. So, I blocked them and changed and deleted every info I senselessly sent to them. It's a scam! If you received a message telling you about a job, PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH! See what kind of company they are, see whether they're active or not, and see other people's experience with the company. If you see anything sketchy, anyone's a negative experience with it, or so on! Don't accept their checks! Don't even send them money!

I posted my resume on Indeed. I got a text from a recruiter, Simon George, who asked me to download Google Hang Out. Then I got another Google Hang out from Monica Spears. I received a check from FedEx today written on an account for Land Title and Closing Services in WI written against Johnson Bank. The check is for $5,959.54, but she said I would receive a $2400 check to cover equipment (she sent a list). Originally, she told me to deposit it through my Mobile banking app. I said mine doesn't have that feature. Then she said to proceed to the bank teller, and asked how many minutes before I would be at the bank. I asked why they didn't just send me equipment rather than a check. She said they wanted the equipment and receipts to be in my name. They messaged me saying I have trust issues, and I should trust the process in response to me asking to speak to a supervisor because I said I would not deposit the check without speaking to a supervisor. I emailed a picture of my driver's license. Another person involved is Brandi Bogli.
