attempted to have my children fly out for post xmas and looking for affordable flights online. i went to cheapflights.com, found a good deal and attempted to book the flight. called the number to finalize the reservations as directed. after the flight reservation was "finalized" i was informed that these were 'standby' tickets. i immediately demanded a refund. the csr refused stating that these tickets were nonrefundable. he then offered me the tickets on another airline for a similar price. i refused as i do not trust this vendor. i insisted on speaking to his supervisor. "edward" came on and stated that there was nothing that could be done and this was a completed transaction regardless of the lack of transparency. I am now disputing these charges with my bank.
