Starlight Printing Service Reports & Reviews (1)

- Branchville, NJ, USA

You initially get contacted via email saying that your resume has been viewed they would like to offer you a part time position with their company. There is no one in particular contacting you, as it is signed Starlight Printing Service coming from the email [email protected]. They go on to describe their company as fast growing and top-notch. It is then described to you the position of Gifts Clerk. There is no investment required on your part, you work from home, and only require 2-3 hours per day to deicate to the position. The salary is $1380 per month with $30-$50 commission for each sent item that you wrap. Once you show interest there is a phone interview and they generally take 4-6 hours to get back to you with the news that they have decided to hire you. That is when you start receiving emails from a Michael Bergman with the email address [email protected]. You are then required to sign a labor contract providing your name and address, and also provide a form of photo identification (driver's license, passport). Addtionally you are given the option of filling out how you would like to be paid; if you choose direct deposit, you send your bank account information with checking and routing numbers. You will be put on a month long probationary period from which you will not receive payment. It won't take that long before you are arrested though for theft by deception. Turns out all of the items being sent to you are purchased via stolen credit cards and being sent to who knows. By the time you realize you've been an unwilling accomplice in a crime, they have stolen your identity by then and opened up lines of credit using all of your information except your name. An attempt to use your debit card has thankfully been flagged as suspicious, so you shut it down immediately. You can even try to call the business numbers on the company website, but they are fake. The only number that works is the one provided in the email sent by Michael Bergman, which I'm sure isn't his real name, but if you call to ask questions he pretends he can't hear you and just repeats that he'll have documents uploaded for you before hangning up. Suddenly your clean record is tarnished, you've had to hire an attorney to clear your name, you've got at least 3-4 packages coming to your residence everyday of stolen items that you have to reject, you're identity has been stolen, you've shut down your bank accounts, need new government issued identification, etc., etc.
