We purchased the Starlink dish from Walmart which was the information we received when I called Starlink initially on September 5. We received the dish and then we received a phone call from "Alex" who said he was a starlink rep and would help us to get connected to Starlink service. He offered us an annual fee of $849.99 which was almost half the cost of what I had found online at Starlink. The money was pay via a 'fake' Paypal account whicn I only learned this week when I received my monthly summary of charges through Paypal and found no charges at all for the month of September. From September 14 until yesterday, October 17, this fake rep did get us connected to starlink service but there were multiple issues and everything that he was doing took days. I changed my password last week and all of a sudden on Sunday, October 13, we no longer had access to starlink. 'Alex' said this was because I changed my password. Four days later (October 17) he still was saying please wait it will work and nothing was happening. I finally started checking information via the Starlink app and found a second Starlink dish on my app with the name Charles DeLuca, then found orders placed under my account that were sent to Charles DeLuca at 75 Garrity Blvd, Brewster, NY 10509. I ended up talking to a friend of ours who said she never received any information from Starlink on a discounted rate. And as I said earlier, when I received my Paypal summary for September, and there were no charges, I finally started putting all the pieces of this saga together. I cancelled the Starlink service yesterday and filed a report to the email address: [email protected]
