I bought an 11-week old female Siamese kitten from Faith's Siamese Kittens. The cost was $400 for the kitten and an additional $100 for transportation from Dallas, Texas to where I am located. I sent the money via Zelle and the next day the sender confirmed that my kitten was with a transport service called, States Pets Transport. States Pets Transport then contacted me saying that there was an issue with transport and that I needed to send them $1550 for a Thermal Electric Crate. I did not think of this as an issue since it is winter and does get extremely cold where I am. I contacted the seller who offered o help me pay $500. So I contacted the transport service to see how they would like payment. They said either Zelle, Cash App, or American Express Gift Card. I had trouble sending the money via cash app and Zelle so I sent them the information on prepaid MasterCard and American Express gift cards. After they received the money, they confirmed that my kitten would be delivered the next day. However, the next day they contacted me again saying that I needed to send them an addition $1800 for pet life insurance and that the money needed to be with them within 24 hours or myself nd the sender would be at risk of facing animal cruelty charges. When I called them and asked about information to the place where the kitten was being kept to confirm that she in fact was on her way, they stated that I did not need that information, that they would be handling everything directly, and to take their "word" for it. When I tried calling the sender, they did not answer but instead sent me a variety of text messages statig that I was just making everything difficult.
