[email protected] Reports & Reviews (2)

I was connected with someone on a messaging app called Telegram about a possible remote job. I do not recall the persons name because the conversation has since been deleted by him and I can no longer view the messages. He began by informing about the company Enthera, the responsibilities of the job I would be working in, and he asked a series of interview questions. I was then told I got the job and that I would receive an offer letter. That’s when I received an email from Stefano Porzio detailing an offer letter and a series of forms that I needed to fill out (direct deposit form, W-4, employment eligibility form, and a code of conduct. Once submitted I was told I would receive a check in the mail to cover the cost of working supplies. Throughout the next few days there were numerous excuses and eventually I was ghosted entirely and the messages on Telegram were deleted. I followed up with Porizio’s email twice and never heard anything. My biggest concern is that they have my direct deposit information and my social security number. Looking back I recognize how stupid I was and I’m just concerned if they were to use my information moving forward.

I was contacted via text by a woman named Monica Green, asking me to download an app and to contact the hiring manager, Keith Tanner, through that. I am older, not knowing how some of the newer online things are done, so assumed this was okay. So I did. The whole interview seemed legitimate, and they liked my responses. I am highly educated, so I'm surprised they went as far as they did, thinking they could send the paperwork over without me *actually* reading every word of it. They did ask for my full name, address, but did not get my social. When they sent over the bank info from a legit-looking email, I was relieved, but then noticed that it said I would have to agree to both deposits AND DEBITS. I immediately realized at that point I was being scammed and stopped immediately. I got back on that stupid app and told the "hiring manager" I was frustrated that he would take advantage of someone like me who actually DOES have integrity in order to swindle me of the little funds I do have and just said good bye. I didn't give them any more information and shut off all further contact.
