I received a text message out of the blue from an unknown person stating they saw my resume on Indeed. They had me download an app; Telegram Messenger to conduct an interview. Offered me a work from home job doing data entry for $28.75 an hour. They were very pushy about getting started even though I told them repeatedly that I am still at my current job and was not available until after 9/29/2023. They kept having me check in daily and they were sending me a check to purchase computer equipment/software needed to do the job. They assigned a task for me to do even after repeatedly telling them I am working elsewhere. Unfortunately, I did send them the paperwork which included a W-4 with my social security number.
