Responded to a craigslist posting for a rental in frederick md, 5740 Sunset View Ln , Frederick MD 21703. found out later this was already a managed property by another party, uninvolved. listing was very low price for size, and was emailed back with following details -

scammer claimed to live in las vegas, but had a 410 area code.

wanted to rent property through walmart to walmart transfer, or western union. claimed they would send keys and contract after I sent the security deposit.

claimed they fired their management agency because they were "ripping people off".

rushed me over the phone with a barrage of texts, nearly 150 in 1 day. I finally told scammer I would call in the morning after I went to the bank, just to get them to stop texting me hundreds of times.

called management agency, which verified the property in question was their managed rental property.
