I had responded to an add for a house rental and the guy responded back saying his name was Stephen Wright  and that he is a deaf man who got transferred to GA for a job transfer. He was initially planning on selling the house unless he found a tenant to rent from. He claimed he was screwed over by rental agents and doesn’t trust them so he would be the one handling everything. He will even send you a passport ID but it is fake! He will say if you pay the deposit (refundable my butt) he will send you the keys and if your not happy with the inside of the home I would be assured to get my deposit back. He then says after receiving the $900, his attorney advises him to collect the rent prior to sending keys. But when I asked for my attorney to speak to his attorney he refused to give any information. At this point I knew it had to be a scam. The phone number is a txting app that you can create numbers on, his identity is no where to be found with the birthday he gave me, and the Zillow agent said it was a scam when I reached out. Be warm he uses words like God bless, you are blessed, and can I trust you with my property? He makes himself sound very real and religious but is far from any true acts of God.
