Guy named Steve found me on offer up app and tried buying one of my cars telling me to get him a report from a website called national vehicle report. Good thing I checked and noticed it would be a scam because in 13 years selling my cars I never got asked to get that report when I have Carfax report available.

This person named Steve wanted me to go to this website and buy a national auto history. I told him that he could’ve done it on a free app with a plates number but he insisted that I can do it myself. That’s when I smelled something was not right. I did my research and I found out about a new way to scam people

This scam is a person from a company pretending to purchase cars with no intent to purchase. The true intent is to make people buy Vin reports from https://www.nationalvinreports.com. Proof of other people dealing with this same issue is on this website: http://www.whycall.me/213-374-3513.html
