I was in contact with a person from Steven Parrot (https://stevenparrots.com/) about purchasing a female eclectus parrot. He instructed me to complete a Sales Contract PDF and send him money via Zelle and gave me the phone number, email address, and name attached to the Zelle. Once I sent him $1,000.00 he sent me a tracking ID for the order and said the bird would be shipped the next day. The next day, he requested for more money via Zelle as "insurance" to complete the shipment.

I later learned from a friend that the website is fake, the phone number Steven Parrot contact me with was mostly likely a Google number, and that the freight company was also fake. Both the website and freight company site appeared on scammer reports online. The parrot website had reviews from people but their reviews had a different website name which also appeared on scammer reports.

The Zelle recipient does not match the email or company name. When I googled the Zelle recipient's name and phone number, he was a registered sex offender from Birmingham, Alabama and his Zelle area code was that of Birmingham.

Yep! I was also just scammed! I lost a lot of money too! Scary how legit his website looks. The jig was up when he sent me to the fake animal transport website. All the numbers listed were out of service or went to another business. The shipping company then asked me for an additional 950$! To rent an air conditioned crate. I knew then I had been had. Horrible experience 😪 stay away from Steven Parrots! Be careful everyone of scammers.
