([email protected]) asking to hire me for a commission.
The commission was to be done in two parts. Steven said his
sponsor wanted to pay me upfront. He sent me a cashier's check for
5,000 from Construction Services of SC, 500 Greenwood Rd, West
Columbia SC 29169 (I would assume this address is bogus). Then
after I deposited the check, he said the second part of the project
had been cancelled and asked me to Zelle his sponsor Thomas B
Murray (on behalf of the Monteverde School in Florida) using his
email [email protected] to connect with him on Zelle.
Without thinking, I sent the money over via Zelle before realizing that
this was a scam. Now I am waiting for the 5,000 check to be
reversed and for the funds to leave my account.
