I applied to an indeed job offer online the company then sent me a text and a email telling me to log on to Microsoft teams. I completed a hour long interview process. And they said I would be making $28 per hour working from home they will send me the check via email I need to deposit it take 150 for myself as a sign on bonus and go purchase the equipment that’s what set it off right there I told them most companies send you the equipment directly and why

Didn’t they just direct deposit the money into account then they gave me 24 hours to deposit check and repost back to them. I followed my gut printed out the paper check went to bank and had them verify the account before I ever put it in my account I wanted to make sure it was legit. The bank JP Morgan chase said it was not a valid account it was a scam. So I let them know I was onto them she didn’t like that I said that and now I am reporting this scam

So it doesn’t happen to anyone else most people would’ve deposited this into there own account thank god I followed my gut.
