I paid for a temperature controlled unit. When I identified that the unit was NOT temp controlled I told the staff on site who refused to check it out. They referred me to corporate who referred me back to the site manager. After multiple attempts to get ahold of this person I finally got a call back and had 2 conversations with her where she assured me she would check it out and get back to me. She told me the unit had a cooler according to their system but still would not walk down to the unit to see the temperature herself. Cooler or not, I told her it must not be working. I never heard from her again on this matter. They continued to charge me for a temperature controlled unit and would not follow up any further on the issue. After cancelling and removing my belongings and locks which I was instructed by email to do by 10/31/24 which was my move out date, I was concerned seeing homeless people wandering inside the property. I called and left a message for the property manager letting her know I had followed all move out instructions and I was concerned my now vacated unit might be taken over by these homeless people. She never returned my call. Instead checked the unit, found items in there (which were not mine) and charged me a $75 fee for not removing all items from my unit. The charge was made to my account on 10/19/24, 12 days BEFORE my scheduled date. Multiple phone call attempts to contact her and I finally left a voicemail that I would have to contact a lawyer if she continued to ignore me. Then she called back to tell me she couldn’t talk to me or help me further. I would have to contact their lawyers but had no contact information to provide me with. I’ve estimated between $300-400 lost between this bogus move out fee and being overcharged for months on a unit that was NOT temperature controlled (based on current pricing posted on their website).
