I received an email confirmation of interest in an internship from a Mr. Ralph Westwood. He informed me that my manager Frank Stevens would walk me through the steps for the position and that I would be an intern for 30 days with compensation of $2180 and $30 bonus for each successful package shipped. I basically had the packaged shipped to my home address, inspect and take pictures, print out labels and remove old labels from packages. Once I completed this I would take the packages with the new label that was provided by the company to USPS, UPS, or FedEx to ship. I received no compensation on promised date, no communication from my manager Frank Stevens or the HR manager Ralph Westwood.

I found the employment application on Indeed. I filled it out, and I was sent an email with an internship agreement. It stated that after 30 days, I would receive $2180 for the month that I worked. Plus $30 dollars per shipped package, or $60 for each package pickup. I was directed to open packages (that were mailed to me under an Alias that was provided to me “for safety purposes”), send pictures of the packing list, and unopened items within the package. I was then directed to seal the packages back up, attach the shipping label provided to me, then drop them off at their respective carrier sites. I was told that I would be working an average of 10 hours per week.

After working for a month, I am no longer able to log into my employee account, and have not been able to contact anyone regarding the non-payment. Between the $2180, and $30 per package I should’ve been paid around $2600.

They offered me an internship agreement which I then signed thinking it was a legitimate business offer.
