On Upwork, I was approached by the company to use a Skype link to communicate. The whole thing felt off, when they offered me the job after 20 minutes with a pay-rate of $45/hour and flexible hours. I signed a job offer letter and they attempted to get me to print out a check to purchase a computer and printer. With this, it felt very off. I researched and found out that this had happened to other people. I never printed out the check. They had my addresses, both my parents house and my dorm on campus, but I only gave them the name of the bank I was with, not any other account info.
