I was contacted by an advisors, asked to provide a code that I later learned was submitted to change my FSA ID password, and was given an opportunity to forgive my federal student loan by a sufficient amount. I was asked to provide payment the moment of.

I contacted my student loan institution and was informed that this is a scam.

I have since received a cancellation confirmation, changed passwords, and cancelled a credit card.
