Hello! My name is ******* and I am 29 year old woman living in Annapolis, Maryland. My mom, **********, was targeted by a phone scammer. A 1-800 number called her and left a message. They said they had exciting news that due to Biden's Loan Forgiveness Plan that I was eligible to have my student loans forgiven. My mom called the 1-800 back. She was put on hold, then someone answered claiming to be from the Student Loan Center. They said if she received a call she was eligible for Student Loan Forgiveness. The lady on the other end asked for him email and social security number. She pushed for all email address associated with the loan. They said that they were pulling up my student loan information and then hung up. She called back and the same thing happened. I called to see if it was a scam and a man named "Michael" told me he was with center 310 and to look up the website StudentLaunchCenterAssist.org. I did and told him I could not verify that this was a real company. He said they were accredited. After he could not verify that this was not a scam, he hung up.
