Type of a scam Credit Repair/Debt Relief
I called back and the person sounded like they were in a room with a few other operators (similar conversations in background). He stated that I was eligible for the new student forgiveness program, asked me some basic questions: was I single or married, was I employed (by non-profit, gov't agency or private company, my email address, etc. When he wanted more personal information, I asked if there was a website I could use instead... and was told that there was no website at this time. I then revealed that I knew he was attempting to scam me and he hung up. I called back a couple more times and different people answered the call but all used the same script to try to engage in conversation and gather data.
