I received a call to either eliminate my debt or lower my monthly payments. I was told if I paid five payments of 250 or one payment of $1300 that would satisfy the payments needed to qualify for the Biden program. afterwards I was set up with a debt consolidation specialist. I’m the beginning Specialist was there for me and answered calls. I received three emails. one after 15 days 30 days and then 45 days. The emails told me that I now had a monthly payment of $0. Later on I checked my student loan balance and with my servicer I noticed that the balance was still there in full and my monthly payment was still as it was previously. I then tried to contact the Student Loan consolidation group, but ALL of the numbers I had previously used were no longer available and my emails have gone unanswered.
