They asked me about my student loans and yearly income and then said that I am Eligible for their program where they apply for loan forgiveness for me and I would pay them $200 a month for six months, when I said this sounds scammy she hung up…

I called back And when I asked for their company email she hung up.

This number is a scam. Do not give any personal information

Caller said I was qualified to have my student loans forgiven. They, they asked me for money as a fee to get them forgiven.

They left a VM about my student loans. I called the number back and it asked if I would like the website and if they could send me text for information to help with my student loans. I said "Yes" and then it asked if I confirmed that I want this information and that I do have over $10,000.00 in student loan debt. I said "Yes" again. It put me on hold with music playing in the background and nothing else happened so I hung up. I never received a text or any website information on student loan services. It mentioned that election with Joe Biden and how Student loans are going to be forgiven and it also mentioned the different loan companies for student loans.

This company calls and leaves messages under the guise of "Student Loan Services" - when you call the number listed on the website, they claim that they are "VCO Consulting Services, VCO Consultants, or VCO Consulting" - this means they are in DIRECT VIOLATION of the requirement that all telemarketing callers IMMEDIATELY AND ACCURATELY identify themselves. They have now BLOCKED MY NUMBER because they are tired of me asking so many questions and wasting their time to call/scam others. They call under the guise of assisting with student loan forgiveness and consolidation processing and attribute their name change to many things: change of management, company acquisition, and marketing changes. Finally, after the last time I called and mentioned the ScamPulse.com and FTC, as well as the potential for a lawsuit due to misidentification, my number has been blocked and they are no longer accepting my calls. This is an ongoing thing with this company - I have been receiving scam calls from Students Loan Services for over 12months now - they previously blocked my number over three months ago, only to start calling me again this week.

My name is ***** ********. I was reached out to on the phone sometime in May 2019 by a company named Student Loan Services. This organization, and an individual named ******* ****, had contacted me about consolidating and developing a payment plan for my student loans. This payment plan would go on for ten years and after that ten-year mark, whatever remained for my $48,000 of student debt would be automatically forgiven. I was told because I worked for a non-profit that I would need to pay a small fee in order to initiate this payment plan. I was charged 4 installments of $174.75 in order to “transfer my loans” over to the Department of Education. I provided this organization with my proof of income to see if I was eligible for a program that would make it so all I had to pay for my student loans was $39.00 a month. I had paid this money and was “enrolled” in this “program”.

Yesterday on March 13, 2020, I called up Great Lakes the organization that works with the Department of Education, to get my tax documentation for my student loans and the payments that I have been making. I spoke to a representative who told me that my loans were not being paid off and that I have paid in $0.00 towards my loans since May 2019. I was told by the representative of Great Lakes that there is no fee to consolidate loans and that I have been scammed. I had been making monthly payments of $39.00 since September 2019. I contacted the Student Loan Services organization that same day and they told me “their supervisor would call me back within 30 minutes” when I tried to cancel my payments. I was never called back. I then contacted Bank of America immediately to open up a claim.

When I spoke to a Bank of America representative yesterday, I had made it so that Student Loan Services was marked under “Stop Pay” on my account. I do not know if there is anything else that I need to do on my end.

Called a number to make a payment on student loans. They sent me an email and asked to consolidate. I told them I did not want to, but they said I should. I questioned how persistent they were in me consolidating them. They hung up on me. I called back and said they sounded like a scam and they hung up again.

This company is driving me crazy with their unsolicited phone calls. I have never given them any money or information, but have asked them three times to take me off their list. Surely even scammers don't want to waste their time! However they continue to call and leave me sometimes as many as five voicemails in a day. Every time I am given an 855 number to call and to speak with [insert name here] about my reference ID number. The phone number they call from, the phone number to contact them at, the reference ID number, and the person calling is different every time. However, usually when I call the callback number it continually gives a busy tone. On the three occasions I have been able to reach them I have tried everything from genuine concern, to sweetness, to threats to get them to stop calling. Nothing has worked. I guess this is my life now. Please catch these mother***s and make them get real jobs!

"Student Loan Services" (studentloanservices.biz) is a company fraudulently claiming to be a "Government Program" and a branch of the "U.S. Department of Education - Federal Student Aid." On August 15, 2017, a representative from this company fraudulently misled me to provide my personal information (email address, phone number, date of birth, and Federal Student Aid login credentials), which she then used to log into my Federal Student Aid online account and access my sensitive personal information.

I was attempting to refinance my student loans through Navient, so I googled "call navient student loan" and the first number that appeared was 855-438-5686. The number was an advertisement for "navient.refinancemenow.info/." I spoke with someone who called herself "Kristel Rose" and claimed to be associated with Federal Student Aid for the U.S. Department of Education and Navient (she claimed that Student Loan Services handled "call overflow for FSA and Navient during busy call hours"). At first, Kristel claimed her website was "studentloans.gov," but I later learned from her "confirmation email" that the actual website was called www.studentloanservices.biz. Kristel claimed to be in California, but I never received an exact address for the company. The direct contact information Kristel provided was: phone number (866)-229-9002 ext. 118 and email address [email protected]. I received a follow-up email from [email protected], saying the company's new contact information was: fax number 408-414-7923 and phone number 650-200-1754.

At the start of our call, Kristel asked for my email address and date of birth to "access my file." Kristel claimed she sent a confirmation code to my email address and I needed to read it back to her "for security purposes." [This email was not actually sent by Kristel, but rather was an email from [email protected], informing me that my FSA ID had been locked and I needed to type this code into my web browser to unlock it... This was likely a result of Kristel attempting to log into my FSA account using the email address I had provided, and the account locking after her incorrect password attempts]. Unfortunately, I did not read this email thoroughly enough at first, and I provided Kristel with the security code, which she then used to fraudulently log into my FSA account and gain access to my personal information. At this point, I began to realize that the call was a scam for the following reasons: 1) Kristel mentioned an up-front fee for loan consolidation [but did not attempt to collect the fee at the time]; 2) I re-read the FSA email more closely and realized it wasn't sent by Kristel and wasn't intended for the purposes she claimed; 3) she began misquoting the figures for my loans; 4) Kristel claimed "Student Loan Services" was accredited by Association for Student Loan Relief (AFSLR), but the company was not listed as an AFSLR member when I checked the AFSLR website; 5) the content of the studentloanservices.biz website was unprofessional, and included overly colloquial language and typos. I ended the call and immediately, changed my login information for the compromised accounts, and reported this scam to the FTC, FBI, and the ScamPulse.com (here).

This is a Fed Loan Forgiveness Program Scam. I worked with a 3rd party SLS or Student Loan Services to consolidate my loans with Fed Loan Services. I found out after a year of being in the program that fraudulent information was given about me to this Loan company (single parent, no income, one child) thus causing an issue with my account. I cleared up the issue with Fed Loans in Aug 2016 updating them with the fact that I am married 14 years, one child and we have both always had an income. I went from qualifying for the program to not qualifying and my payments going up and over $500 a month. I have been trying to work with Fed Loans with this issue and they have no plans on helping me, they just keep telling me I can put my loans in forbearance which just adds on interest and is not helping the problem. In fact I called today 01/31/17 and was told that they didn't believe that they were speaking to the actual person the account belonged to. I was calling to too talk payment arrangements and got no where. This is going to affect my credit and without me actually moving my loans which I haven't figured out a company willing to let me do that, I have no solution and am stuck in a broken fraudulent circle. Please help. I will do my best to find the emails I received over a year ago from SLS and maybe even the phone number of Linda and Jenna that I spoke with but I don't currently have them.

This phone number has called me multiple times and every time hey leave a voice mail telling me it's the last attempt to get in touch with me about my student loans and how they can possibly help me consolidate everything. I have all ed them back now 4 times and have told them to stop calling me. I got a call from them and they left the same voicemail. When I called back some guy answered and told me hat they are "lit" right now because of what happened in the election and the guy asked me who I voted for and then there was a group of guys laughing in the back ground. I'm getting tired of the calls and the fact that I have told them repeatedly to stop calling and they still are.

I was contacted by phone by a robocall from 512-714-4063 that was offering to lower my student loan debt through a new federal program recently passed by Congress. I don't have any student loans. I never took out any student loans. The person who answered asked for my name, address, social, date of birth. I did not give any of this info, because scam, obviously.

This company called me, in violation of state and federal Do-Not-Call laws, offering to help with student loans. They did not know my name, and I never asked to be contacted. They asked asked me for my Social Security Number, and FAFSA PIN. No reputable company would have need for my PIN. This is a scam.

- Wichita Falls, TX, USA
