I don't know if this qualifies for this forum as I didn't interact with anyone directly from Studio SOS, but rather with an Axiom computer tech. I received a call from the tech saying my compter had been issuing warnings and they needed to be addressed. To be upfront, I had subscribed with Axiom for computer protection. He asked if he could show me what he was talking about. He did and I was amazed at all the warnings issued. But what got my attention was the number of entries of my wife's and my Social Security numbers displayed. Then, the selling began. Like most other folks, I know nothing about computer diagnostics, but I was a little leery with the sales pitch. Became suspicious when the package I wanted had to be split up through 2 separate credit cards. The tech was quick doing the things he was doing, but I saw some things that further caused me concern. One was an email that was filled with typos. You know, just like the ones that are used as an example of a phishing scam. During the process, he further went through my documents, highlighted a few, deleted them, and then deleted the recycle bin, almost like he was getting rid of incriminating evidence. In the beginning, and I'm afraid I can't remember the exact screen, a name, Charles Bloom, appeared. I asked who that was and, without slipping a beat, he said that it was him. However, in the invoices for service rep, he put "kas". So, now after reading the other entries, I'm really worried. I guess I'll have to monitor my accounts closely for the next week.

I was online writing a weekly column for the Sunday issue of our daily paper when suddenly my computer was frozen and a full screen ad appeared directing me to a number to call for help. I was in a bind and called the number. The lady that answered said I had all kinds of things wrong with my computer but they would fix. I asked: " Are you authorized by Micro Soft to do this work? " She said that Micro Soft " farms out" this kind of problem to fix. She said it would take about 30 minutes. She quoted two prices for a one & two year contract. The cost difference was marginal so I opted for the two year at $299. I got control of my computer back but it now ran slower. I never received any detail on what they did and no information on the two year contract. I have been unable to find the names of the corporate officers of STUDIO SoS LLC and the invoice came from STUDIO SOS Softwares. The Invoive # was 1200611283. Signed: Floyd R. My computer was running a little slow, On August 5, 2020 I went online to geek squad technical support to tune up my computer. I was told I needed to pay a $2.00 agent fee, however when I input $1.99 , the period was removed and it came out to $199.00, When I as told that the refund to me would be in two transactions of $140. 00 and $49.00. when attempting to input these numbers, again the the period was absent and it end up being $14,000.00 transferred to my checking account. And the only way I could pay them back is by gift cards. without my knowledge the put an $18,000.00 hold on my savings account. I tried paying them back on three occasions 8/7/20 I sent $10,000.00 in gift cards, only $500. 00 was accepted, 8/10/20 I sent them $10,000.00 and only $1,000.00 was accepted. 8/12/20 I sent them $9,000.00 and that $9,000 was refunded to my checking account. Today I was informed that I owe them $9,000.00.

On August 23, 2018 I authorized the payment of $499.00 in favor of Stedio SOS LLC for 5 years of software installations /support/rendered on two of my computers, a desk top and a laptop. Payment was made on my Chase Bank personal checking account with a last four digites of 6306. from time o time afte that date, I called Support Alexa for repairs and updates. The help lines are 1-707-706-0640, 1-530-505-7095 and 1-727-777-4381.To day I recieved a call from teck support saying we needed to be up dated. I said ok and let them take control of my desk top for service. After two hours I was told that my computer was too old for the soft ware they had installed and they were going to refund my inital payment of $499.99. I am a Chase Bank private account and Stedio SOS was also a Chase Bank Business account . They offered to wire the $500.00 to my checking account. The process was completed on line with me inputting my bank and the amount of $500.00. Just as they were going to the next screen I saw them remove the dot and make it $5000.00 instead of the $500.00 They then got very belligerent and said I was a thief and I stole their money . They kept treating me with freezing my accounts at Chase and sueing me in court.I offered to rewire the $4500.00 to them, but they said it must be in the form of 8 Google play cards in the amount of $500.00 each and then call them with the serieal numbers for payment . I called Chase and the $5000.00 had been wired into my account. Chase fraud department said I was right , I could wire the $4500.00 to them in the morning. Jamme Lee, the tech has hounded us all evening on our land line and cell phone with accusations that I am a thief and did not plan to return the $4500.00. I repeatedly told him I would wire the funds tomorrow as the banks were closed here due to snow storm and now being after 5PM. I don't know how they are working it, but this seems line a senior scam to us.

His last call he said he didn't want the money and that I was a crook and we were going to court for not using the Google Play Cards. Please respond ASAP.

On February 5, 2018 as I opened my computer suddenly I saw a company named Microsoft and was told to call them immediately as my system had been scammed/hacked. I called and explained that my computer had been hacked. They asked how I knew this and I explained the above. Mike Glaas said everything would be fine and not to worry. I trusted him. Said he needed to get into my computer and would I give him my permission to do so. I said yes. After a while he said my firewall had been breached and that I would need a new one. Said it would cost $1172 to replace it. I agreed unhappily. I gave him my credit card number, my signature and held the line so he could make sure the money had been transferred to Japan, I think. I began to feel like something was wrong but having no knowledge of technical, analytical dealings with computers I felt sunk, broken, used, stupid, and didn't know what to do. No one was home to help me. A friend reported it to the credit card company who said they would do what they could to get my money back. I turned my computer off and didn't turn it on again until now. Thank you for listening. Oh...my friend has done some research and is helping me.
