When I came across the Sublime Golden Retriever Puppies website, I sent an initial inquiry through the website and received a text from the seller. He then sent me an email requesting my information. He even sent an email with pictures and videos of a puppy. After the third email, he requested full advance payment up front of $850 to ship (fly) a puppy to me, but there was no written agreement, written refund policy, or guidelines to facilitate the transaction. He requested that I set up an account through Zelle to make the payment and that I send him a screenshot of the completed transaction once it was done. He gave me the name of his wife and an email for his wife (I have that info in their emails) that I should send the payment to on Zelle. He never once told me his own name.

I had to ask and he only provided a first name when asked. When I asked for the name of the shipping agency that they use, he didn’t have a direct answer for me and said they would use the agency closest to my home. There were no details on the website such as name, phone, contact info, or business address. I asked questions to get any details and better understand the shipping process but was answered with very short, vague responses and a lack of detail that led me to believe that this was not a valid business. I asked for the business address and he sent me an attachment, which was a picture of a house with an address typed at the bottom of the picture. However, the typed address (I have the exact address) was actually just a dead end cul de sac in San Antonio, Texas NEAR the house that was pictured in the attachment he sent me.

The house in the picture was actually a completely different address on a nearby road. The lack of detail in his emails caused me hesitancy but the blatantly misleading information about the business address raised a huge red flag for me. We would have been devastated if we had gone through with this purchase and had been waiting for a puppy that never arrived.
