These people had Maine [censored] kittens for sale and we emailed for more info. (They supplied a phony address in Brentwood, TN)  My Mother wanted one for her 70th Birthday, so we proceeded to text and find out more about a certain kitten. Price was $800 with 1/2 as deposit and $170 to ship to my mother. We debated and asked a million questions that they were able to answer, and even got a fairly standard contract. We proceeded with the purchase using Venmo to pay 1/2 and transport fee. Everything went crazy when the delivery company got involved. Suddenly there was a $642 crate fee with 70% refundable and a city permit fee to enter a new city supposedly because of Covid-19. We did some research and found that the tracking number was invalid and the city permit was not legitimate. We have asked for all of our money to be refunded, but are not sure what they will do.
