I received the call in the afternoon (3/29). The representative offered me the opportunity to take a vacation at a reasonable price in exchange for my time listening to a timeshare presentation. I was told that I would receive the opportunity to either get another resort stay or a cruise package. I asked several questions about the cruise offerings and the rep shared the lines he had staterooms for along with sail dates, ports and upgrade costs. I asked if I could book the cruise first, which he said, "Yes". We talked (for nearly an hour) about the cruise in detail because I am renewing my vows this summer and my family already had several rooms booked on a specific sailing. He told me the company would be able to book the sailing without an issue. After completing the purchase, I received documentation from QA. I asked her if she handled the vacation packages, which she declined. When I mentioned wanting to book the cruise, she told me I could not. I asked to speak to a manager; she said they were gone for the day. Over the next 3 days I called over 20 times with the line disconnecting without the assist of an operator. I sent emails requesting contact be made. I finally got through and spoke with a gentleman who told me that a manager would contact me within 30 minutes. Over an hour had passed and I called back. The "manager" was put on the line but she was only a reservation specialist. I explained how I was misled and that I needed to be able to make the cruise booking. She told me I could not and I explained that I wanted to cancel everything and get my refund. She was very rude claiming that her associates would not have talked to me about a cruise, despite me explaining to her that that was the basis of my purchase. She said she will forward my issues to the finance department who would contact me within 3-5 business days and that a refund was not guaranteed. She offered no contact number for them. I received the email she "supposedly" submitted to the finance office but she speaks as if I was mistaken not offering my account of the situation.
