The letter was received on Sep 24, 2024. The lender name shown was incorrect. The letter pressed me to call their office to activate my home warranty.

Home warranty scam. Implied that my mom (who has alzheimers) was at risk of losing her warranty.

I had a horrible experience with sales and claims today. I had explained to these people several times that l wanted a Home Protection plan wherein 1 fee covers all items in the same category like the previous Company that I had. They assured me that they did. Before l called to make a claim l inquired again. The answer was of course one fee covers all your appliances. I called to make my claim, the person l spoke with sounded like she was just getting out of bed, spoke very abruptly to us as if we were disturbing her, she told us that we are required to pay a fee for each claim. Refused to email information about claim or email a copy of receipt. I know that l have made a terrible mistake. Please look elsewhere before obtaining a contract with this company.

When I saw no address, and that “no inspection will be required and acceptance is subject to your ability to meet eligibility requirements,” I knew immediately it was a scam. The only “eligibility requirement” is willingness to give them your credit card. It might be fun to call their number anonymously after the “deadline,” and plead to be accepted for coverage. Then see how many fake credit card numbers you can give them before they realize they’re the ones being scammed. I do that with phone scammers who call me, and it’s fun to frustrate them and waste their time.

They sent a letter claiming my 95 yr old relative's home warranty was expiring. He called them and they tried to sell him $4000 worth of a "home warranty." When I called them back, they claimed to be legit and I told them no one who uses a scam letter is legit. I just thought they were trying to sell overpriced home warranties, but after reading the scams here, I believe they're trying to literally defraud people. They claimed to be Superior Home Protection Home Warranty Division. Had way too much info on my relative. Their phone number is 877-837-0287.

See attached letter from this company about "home warranty." Misleading and designed to take advantage of people

I also received a letter saying my home warrant with Washington Mutual Bank was expiring. I have never had any dealings with Washington Mutual. The letter also had no identifying information except for a phone number. I anonymously called the phone number on the letter and received the company's name. From there I went to their website. Using that information, I filed a report at reportfraud.ftc.gov. Any company that has to hide it's name and identifying information on a mail and has makes up information about my home is clearly scamming.

I got a letter saying that my home warranty was expiring. I don't have a warranty. They used Regions name in the letter. I took it to my Regions bank where I do have an account and they made a copy of it.
