They sent me a letter in the mail saying "Final Notice" and bold printed "Student Loan Consolidation & Payment Reduction Program Prepared For:" and then my name. They knew my loan account balances in the letter and repeated them to me on the phone. They were able to get into my FSA.gov login and change the password after getting the one-time code from me. This should've been the red flag to stop the process but I kept going. They listed out payment options for my new loan once they consolidated my old ones. After being on hold for a few minutes, they were ready to charge me for processing fees for my loan documents. This was the last straw for me finally and told them I thought it was a scam. They insisted it was not and finally gave me their business name "Superior Servicing". They said their website was "superiorservicing.gov" which doesn't exist. The website for Superior Servicing is "superiorservicing.net" Maybe that was a mistake on the scammers part? I don't know. I believe this is scam and I never paid them a dollar but they do have my personal information. Had to freeze all 3 credit bureaus and I hope nothing else happens.
