Superior Sheltie Reports & Reviews (5)

I went through the exact same scam this weekend. They prey upon people who have lost beloved Shelties recently. I lost my girl in June. They got me for 2200.00. I am devastated and feel foolish. It's not just the money. I had already gotten attached to this puppy and knowing he was not coming was very difficult. They sent pictures videos and caring emails and texts. Of course they didn't return my calls.
Please beware. Avoid the hurt and loss of money. And if this has happened to you, please report them. I wish I had seen this site before it happened to me.

*Sniff Sniff Sniff* smells like Scam.

1) I was interested in their puppy named “Sparky” in April of 2022. I revisited the Site in Sept 2022. Sparky is still listed as “6 months old.”

2) There was no contact information or address. It just says: “We are currently located in Tomball,Texas with our Puppies.”

3) They already assume you are not going to be able to pick up your new puppy. And They set you up to pay for transportation.

4) Their company only uses Zelle.
Weird—- Reputable companies don’t use Zelle… they use PayPal.
SCAM! STAY AWAY.

My dog died. I was sad. I began to look at different sites to look for a breeder. Prices were outrageous. Found Superior Sheltie. I filled out the contact information. I received a text and email. The person who emailed me was Mark Mytrofanskyi. I don't know Mark Campbell that others have corresponded with. So, obviously, he changed his name. I was told that "Honey" was $600 plus $150 delivery costs. Wow, what a deal. I was so excited. I paid him through Zelle (which I have learned is literally putting cash in one's hand) and he sent me an email letting me know that my dog was ready to be shipped. Then, the email started talking about how the shipping company was going to charge me $1500 which I would get back $1470 at the time of Honey's arrival at the airport. That sounded so odd. Anyway, the shipper "Starwood Pet Transport" (which is a spoof of a legitimate business called Starwood Animal Transport) sent me an email saying that the airlines required this new thermal crate. Then the gentleman called me, no English accent, and I asked him why was the amount so high. He gave me this story about the crates cost $10K and the reason the deposit was so high was because of the great expense of the crates. I told him I didn't have that kind of money. He advised me to contact Mark. Mark didn't answer my call but did text me. He offered to put up $500 of the money. I told him no, I didn't have it. Then he offered to put up $800, if I would do $700 and then I started asking him about where is his nearest airport and did Honey have a health certificate. He didn't answer the question about the airport but did say Honey had a health certificate. I didn't hear from him or the shipping company anymore. I researched airline policies and there is nothing at all that says the animals need a thermal crate. I googled "thermal crate" and couldn't find any. I found a thermal bedding pad which makes sense but no crate. Then I scrolled down further and found stories about other people's experiences with different companies but they all had this in common-a shipping company that requires you to pay a huge amount for the rental of a thermal crate. I am out $750. I feel so stupid. I didn't sense the breeder was a cheat until the shipping company contacted me. They are in it together or perhaps the same person. I am filing a complaint with IC3.gov.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I understand fully, as the same thing happened to me this weekend.
I have learned a valuable lesson, no pun intended, as I lost 2200.00 to this scam.
So sad.

We also were lookng for a puppy after our passed. We found "Superior Sheltie" and had pictures, videos, fake vet records, and made up shipping company (we lived hours away). We tried to get reviews of animal transport and started digging, this Mark Campbell completely changed all the stories, said we needed to give 1500 to get a shipping crate. Asked for proof of puppy/shipping, hung up and never responded again. Filed claim with his fake company ! HUGE SCAM.
