I saw an ad on Instagram offering a small car vacuum for cheap. I bought it. The vacuum was barely worth the $5.00 I paid. Four months later I saw a strange charge of $74.12 on my CC statement. I called the number on the charge and a lady answered. I asked her about the charge. She said that when I had ordered the vacuum, I had also 'enrolled' for other services that entailed a monthly charge. They had been charging my credit card since October. I demanded a refund. She originally offered $30.00. I then demanded more and said I would report them. She said they would give me $74.12 x 2, as they could only refund money from the last 3 months. She asked me to promise I would not report them, and that this would be a condition for the refund. I accepted. And now I am reporting them. The charge appeared under "GORIDEBICYCLE".
