My son and I decided to do a parlay bet together on FanDuel as a fun experience between a father & son on August 16th 2024, I am not familiar or experienced in online gambling so my son created an account for me in my name on FanDuel , because of my inexperience my son used his email so he could track the correspondence if any throughout the process. I paid for the bet which was $245.00 out of my bank account through my debit card. The money was taken out of my account that day by FanDuel but no email confirmation was sent to my son from FanDuel to confirm the bet had been placed so we reached out to FanDuel to make sure the bet had been processed. We received an email back from Oscar at FanDuel stating that since the account was set up in my name but with a different email the account had been cancelled, as we were both bummed we simply asked to be refunded the $245.00. Since that request was made by us for the refund we have had nothing but constant back and fourth emails from FanDuel stating we needed to provide different information and email from the email used to create the account and so on....pretty much felt like the runaround from the start, after we had done all they asked we are now into October and their response after doing all they asked was that the money was refunded in August. I checked my bank account statements as well as my sons form August 16th through October 14th and no refund had ever been made by FanDuel. I then asked Oscar to show proof of the refund being deposited into either of mine or my sons accounts because I knew that was a lie, he then continued to give me nothing but a bunch of email word salad trying to confuse me and lie more.... then finally told me I had to get my financial institution involved in order to get reimbursed the $245.00. WHAT??!!

This is an absolute scam and in my opinion theft, not once did they attempt to work with us to understand that I was my sons father and there was absolutely no fraud involved from our end, besides how are they able to just keep the $245.00 after they decide to cancel an account? Shouldn't that money have gone back onto the debit card used for payment whether they felt there was fraud or not? It's not their money to keep regardless! I placed a bet and they took my money without ever considering to give it back even without processing my bet which is theft. I strongly advise & encourage everyone to stay away from FanDuel, they are crooks and scam artists.
