The same EXACT situation happened to me, WORD for WORD! It just infuriated me to OFFICIALLY learn from our bank, PNC, after we deposited the check. I will help anyone that I can to file with whatever report and/or agency that we need to pursue? This just happened to me on 1/17/2024 so there is no CONCERN from whomever is doing this!

I had believed I was submitting an application for a mystery shopper position, but instead, this foolish individual sent me some instructions along with a check, instructing me to retain $500. Despite my realization, I decided to go along with this person's scheme. It is crucial for everyone to exercise caution!

Scammer said he was David Grado and sent a cashiers check to cash for 2950.00 I was to keep 500 for myself and buy eBay gift cards with the balance. Then scratch the cards and send pictures to him.
