I received a letter in the mail referring to a vehicle that I do not even own. The letter was offering me to call a phone number 888-928-0979 the name of the company was sure guard USA and it was about activating insurance coverage.

“FINAL ATTEMPT TO NOTIFY”

I received a piece of mail (titled the same as this entry), and have never received previous ‘notices.’ Called the number, spoke with someone named “Junior,” and he informed me that this notice and service were offered when the vehicle was purchased/leased. When I informed him it was never leased, but was bought with cash, he seemed to stumble over his (possible) script and stated he would “put it in the system” and a few other things very fast and was in a hurry to end the call. I had to ask explicitly what the company was and the service(s) offered, and he stated the company is SureGuard USA, and is “a service contract agency” (whatever vague mumbo-jumbo that is intended to mean).
