I called Capitalone and they called the company. The company picked up immediately. Molly told me that it clearly states on the website that the product is not free and that it cost $89. I went to the website which had no information on the product. Just an order form and a terms and condition. I told her that I had never seen that website and the ad did not have a terms and condition. I told her that it is completely misleading. She kept repeating that "the product is not free. It is clearly stated in the terms and condition." Both I and the CapitalOne agent kept telling her that the ad doesn't have terms and condition and that I never got any sort of receipt. She again said the product is not free and that she will refund me $100.
Essentially, the consumer is asked to pay shipping charges. They are not told they will be charged $89 for that bottle they try. Even if you call before the cancellation period, you do not get a refund because they don't accept open bottles. I only found this out when I told Molly that I was charged $89 and the new bottle never came. She told me that the 2 charges were for the bottles I already received. '
This company not only mislead the consumer. They outright steal money.
