Type of a scam Online Purchase
After several texts asking if the transaction had come thru, I began to see a pattern. His communication was unique and was mirrored by the freight company who, ironically needed $1400 to ship it but it was fully refundable. No credit card option again.
That’s when I knew I was in a trap. I asked for money back, nothing just random deflection. I have all the texts. I was irate.
Ended when I told him I’d be calling the fbi and reporting the site. As I researched more, it was clearly a scam. My fault. Lesson learned! Wish we could stop these guys.
Could be something from Russia scam advisor.com had some good comments.
