I was sent an email about basically being a mystery shopper.. The company would mail me a check so I can deposit it into my bank account then use that money to buy a specific product and then report my experience..

So I agreed. I received a paper check like I was told I would for $1850.. I was to deposit/cash the check then go buy 3 $500 gift cards (Walmart-Visa, Suphora, etc) then the $350 was my compensation for doing the first assignment. I was to fill out a specific form along with taking pictures of gift cards and send it back to confirm that I finish the task , but I was to keep the gifts cards for my next assignment. So I took the check that didn’t even have a bank name on it to a local bank to verify if it was real or fake.

I signed up to take surveys. Was contacted with a pdf with instructions. To deposit check into my account minus my consulting payment then proceed to numerous stores to purchase different gift cards the i was to take pictures and send info via my phone.
