Contacted via Craigslist email to buy washer / dryer - $850. Said out of town till end of Feb. (We do have a lot of snow birds.) Said would send cashiers check. Then it got funny. Buyer said they had set up pickup and storage until they returned. Told me they had sent the check and included the fee. Now I realize this is a scam. Cashiers check arrived and included an additional $1500. The check looked a bit odd too. Obviously a scam. At this point I did research and realize that this is a pretty typical scam. Luckily I caught on and did not deposit the check. I am waiting for them to contact me again. Want to make sure not one else gets into this and actually does deposit it.

The return address on the USPS Priority Mail Envelope is: Rocoment Consultant 5685 Terra Bella Lane, Camarillo, CA 93012. I look this address up and it is a house that is for sale on Zillow.

I'm typically more skeptical than this!
