A person named Susan Henderson contacted my business via email saying she prefers to communicate by email and text because she's hearing impaired and scheduled for surgery soon. She was requesting branding and web-building services in a somewhat urgent manner for a new cleaning services company, supposedly in Appleton WI. She signed three contracts for various services and said the only way she can pay is by check and that it's in the mail. As she prepped for surgery, she said, her assistant was said to have made an error and added a 2 in front of the amount owed to us, making it a $20,000 overpayment. She said she could not stop the check and hoped we could send a refund. We pressed for more answers about her business and bank, and we never heard from her again. We see it's the same number used in another person's scam in Oregon.
