I received a call claiming to be Capitol One on the phone they claimed to be the fraud department. They said I had charges that were suspicious and were calling to see if I made them. They convinced me it was them because they had my full social security number and birthdate. I gave them a two-step verification code, I read it wrong I thought it said it would be asked for, and at that point of course I was very upset I just read it incorrectly. They transferred most of the money from my savings to my business account and did a wire transfer to another bank. I got off the phone with this guy still having a bad feeling so I called the real capital one and spoke to a man who I guess didn't understand that I thought I had been scammed and he told me he saw the notes on the transfer and so I thought I was ok and that I had spoken to the fraud department. So I didn't file a fraud claim with the bank because I thought I had. I woke the next morning I woke to find the large wire transfer had gone through and they had moved all the money from all the accounts I was linked to to a business account and the bank had locked all accounts when they saw all the money going to on account. I have received new account numbers but no one at the bank has given me any assurance ill get my money back.
