I called the number on the back of a labcorp test pamphlet to ask about a cost quote. I called the line for billing questions. The call took me to a message stating i "won a $100 savings package" unsure if i was going to use the product i tried to skip hitting "1" and the lone cut off. On the next call i pressed "1" to accept the $100 and was taken to a gentleman who asked my name and address and then gave a fast speil about the savings he was offering. I asked to please be transferred to the appropriate department for a quote and the guy on the line said i must provide my card information so i can be nilled $4.95/month for a savings package. I said i did not want this and was told i must give a card number to verify my identity. When i said this made me uncomfortable and did not feel right he got very heated and demanding and started sternly asking what kind of card i would be using and demanding the card details. He would not let me move forward in my request unless i gave him my card information. I eventually hung up as this was not right. The other companies i was asking for quotes needex no personal information at all.
