I decided to buy two fish finders from www.sussindomarine.com. Everything was agreed via e-mails and I transferred USD 4552.48. The store sent me a Bill of loading document and tracking number with www.citytranscargo.com (TRACKING NO: CTC987236178918)
After a while, the store sends an e-mail that the package has been stopped in Singapore, because there has been a very big failure on their part and in stead of two fish finders they are sending 24 pcs.! As it is not possible to separate the product, the store offers me to take all fish finders with a 50% discount and I can pay in parts and most of it after receiving the product. I thought that a good price and payment method after receiving the product seemed ok and agreed. The total amount to pay is USD $ 27,306.
Then it started .. it turns out that in order to import the product to Latvia, it is necessary to pay 60% of the total amount. After negotiations - I transferred money. Then it turned out that it was a mistake and misunderstanding on their part, and all 100% needs to be payed to settle the documents. After another long discussions, I paid everything. The next surprise was that after payment, the supplier www.citytranscargo.com sent an import document stating that import duty of 13% has to be payed. I get really angry because in beginning the store wrote to me that everything is included in the price ( I was asking in first e-mails regarding tax) and the second is why the tax must be paid from the full amount (USD $ 54,612) and not from USD $ 27,306. Citytranscargo (supplier) explained that they deliver the product door to door and carry out all customs clearance and this is how it is calculated. Well ok, I sent money USD $ 7,099.56. After few days, Citytranscargo writes that it was a failure and that the import duty in Latvia is 28% and, of course, asking for the rest of the money, which I did pay at the end. After payment, both the store and the supplier communicated for some time and the delivery date was postponed several times due to Covid19 reason, but now already for more than 3 months no one is responding to the e-mails or watsapp. The total amount was paid is USD $ 38,343.04
