We inquired about a Bullmastiff puppy on their website. They said it was still available. It was $700. I know that sound cheap for that breed, but that is what I paid for my first one, and he was from a legit show breeder. We emailed a lot back and forth over the next 24 hours. He seemed very thorough. The application seemed legitimate. I even asked him about a negative review/website I found, but he had what seemed like a genuine reason for that, his website had been hacked/misused without his knowledge. To ease my mine, he even offered to lower the deposit price. I asked what shipping agency he used, because it was "free". He said he shipped them through American Airlines or Southwest, and he had "coupons" because he shipped so often. I sent him the deposit through Money Gram. Everything was going along fine until today, when I received a very obvious scam email from the "shipping company" that stated I needed to "rent" a thermal crate or the puppy couldn't be shipped. That company was https://www.jetairlogistics.com/. I immediately called both of them out on it, stating that if it was legit, he (the breeder) should take care of it. He was supposedly experienced in shipping, and he should have known better. He told me it was my problem. Both kept saying there would "be a complete refund." I wasn't buying it. I kept on them via text and email. Eventually, I got an email from him that stated I was just trying to make him feel "guilty" and he "would respond to me no longer." A little while later, my husband, posing as a new buyer, contacted him about the same puppy, and he received the exact same response I initially got, about how he was still available. I have tried calling, but now the number is disconnected. I am pretty sure he took the address off the website, too. I still have it. I also have the name he gave me to wire him the money.
