Victim was contacted about winning sweepstakes from a person stating to be in Ohio. Asked victim to buy $100 gift card from vanilla or ebay. Victim purchased $100 gift card to pay fee to receive his 'winnings'. Scammer requested to be sent picture evidence of gift card purchase, victim sent pictures of the gift card. Victim was also asked to send pictures of his receipt from purchase, but victim did not do this. Scammer notified victim they would be at his residence on Monday to give him his winnings, but victim did not give out any personal information.
