The Swift Atlantic Delivery Express emailed me informing me that I needed to send a Zelle payment for $825 for a proper crate for shipping the puppy (COVID and Winter regulations)which 95% would be refundable at the time of home delivery at my residence. I contacted the breeder Shawn Benson (201)676-7284, to see what he had to say. He said that was on me. I didn’t like it, but it wasn’t that much after I was refunded. I was to Zelle Davenport Haile with their email being [email protected]. So I did. Then Swift Atlantic Delivery Express sent me a tracking site for the puppy. And the puppy was to take flight at 4:00 pm. I checked the site for any updates. I was busy getting things readied at my home for the arrival of the puppy. Had to go purchase items for him. The later I checked my email and received another email message from Swift informing that the breeder didn’t send the paperwork that allowed the puppy to be transported to a different state. That would be $1,200.00 but the travel insurance would cover half of that. Zelle information was to be sent to Bobak Norouzi with Omarjatta184@ yahoo.com. I texted the breeder informing him that I didn’t have that amount of money. Shawn said he’d check in on that. Plus the information that Swift sent indicated that if I didn’t send the funds, I’d be be charged with animal cruelty or something like that. I had never had an animal sent to me before, but I have flown with them in the airplane cabin and this didn’t sound right. Shawn said if I wanted the puppy, I should do what they asked. I started believing that I had fallen for a scam at this point. I called 911 at this point...a Police Officer came to my home. While the policeman was here Shawn called and someone else from Swift Atlantic Delivery Express called gave his title and his name of Geoffrey. ( not sure on the spelling)
He was calling to press us for the money. We informed him that we had called the police. I informed Facebook of the scam from Labrador Retriever Puppies for Rehoming.
This morning Shawn Benson reached out to me seeing if I had received the dog. And asked if I had reported him to Facebook for his page was shut down.
