i was contacted by a person claiming to have a job available, and the interview process would have to be done over the phone via messaging on an app called telegram. i was told they would be sending me checks via email, to be deposited digitally on my banking app, and to send them to a third party for the purchasing of my "equipment" needed for the "job". it turned out that the checks were fraudulent

due to some discrepancies on the checks noticed by the bank, but just a little to late as the transfers and then some had gone through.
