Second, the greeting was merely "Hi." Legitimate companies will always include the recipient's name.
Third, the body of the email stated "I am looking out for passionate individuals for Management roles for one of our direct client. You perfectly meet my requirements. Please subscribe to my email list so I can send you the opportunity immediately and receive notifications for more interesting opportunities in days ahead." followed by a suspicious URL (which I did not click on, of course).
Fourth, there was no phone number indicated anywhere. Similar to my second point, legitimate companies will always include at least 1 (or more) phone numbers.
Fifth, after a quick Google, it appears that this scammer has been using this same approach for quite a while. Including another address in Virginia (the email I received indicated an address of 340 S LEMON AVE, WALNUT, CA 91789).
Sixth, after another Google search of that California address, one of the first results is the BBB.org profile page (URL: https://www.bbb.org/us/ca/walnut/profile/resume-services/symphony-solutions-1216...⇄ for this supposed company with complaints going back to June 2020.
And finally, whoever is behind this scam should be ashamed of themselves! Trying to take advantage of innocent people that are trying to find employment, getting their hopes up only to be disappointed that it's completely bogus. If there is a hell, they will surely be going there for their incessant deceptive actions targeting desperate job seekers.
