I received the text message at around 5pm MT, telling me that my resume had been reviewed and that I made a shortlist for an interview with their company. I had to reply, "GOT IT" or "YES I AM' if I was interested. Then they would tell me more about the position and the company in full details. I then was given a list of openings they had and then a rate for the remote positions of $30.50 per hour. I had to reply back again. They then told me that the info on the company and position would be given to me in the interview/job briefing that had to be conducted on Zoom or MS Teams. They asked if I had either of those applications available. They then told me to send a direct message to Bonnie K. Smith on MS Teams by clicking on a link. They also provided a verification code for the interview process. During the Teams "meeting" I was interviewed in a very odd way. I got told to read each message very carefully and to reply with "YES MA'AM" and " I AM DONE READING" after each message this Bonnie K. Smith sent to me. This went on for about 5-8 minutes and I knew back at the very beginning it was a scam since I have had to hire employees for years and the policies and process I followed for the company I was working for would NEVER do anything like this, plus I looked up this Bonnie K. Smith who does work for Synnex Corporation in reality and she is one of the top corporate managers and again from experience I knew someone has hijacked this woman's name and company information to scam poor people out of something. I then asked her to email from her corporate account so I could verify it was really her. This is when they started to get kind of mad at me. I then exited the MS Teams chat session. Next thing I know this Bonnie K. Smith is calling me. I did not answer the phone, but did let it go to voicemail in hopes they would be dumb enough to leave me a message. They didn't which was a bummer. They did try to get me back on Teams, but I just ignored them.

This company Concentrix/Synnex posted an ad on our local yard sale FB page. It stated it was a work from home data entry job that pays $25/hour and to PM the person that posted it. I PM'd that person and she told me to talk to someone on Google Hangouts. I chatted with that person and was "hired." Then, a check for $1,800 from Bucktown Contractors, Inc 1005 Veterans Blvd Ste 205 Kenner LA 70062 was emailed to me. I was told to deduct $200 for myself as a sign on bonus and that the rest would be used to purchase a laptop and the necessary software. They also said to print the check out (front and back), cut it to shape, sign it, and deposit it via my bank's mobile app. I did all of that, but the money was not available. It was still not available the next day, and I received a message from my bank saying that they are reviewing it and that it might not be available until 3/4/20. I told the "hiring manager" (from Hangouts) and the "accountant" (that had texted me by this point, i.e. the next day) this information. They were both messaging at the same time asking the same questions and wouldn't leave me alone. I called my bank and they said that the account the check was from is closed but that they are still looking into it. I told the people this info and that I was just going to wait until 3/4/20 like the message from my bank said. With all this being said, I do believe that this is a scam.

My name is *** *** there is someone who posted a listing on Facebook and sent me to google hangouts and they wanted to direct deposit to me then asked for my login information to access my account. The email in the photo attached is the person who tried to get me to give him access to my banking account he said his name is “James Smith”. None of my money has been taken to my knowledge at this time. They wanted to direct deposit “a check” have me buy eBay gift cards to then put me in you with a vendor to buy the equipment I would need to “work from home”

I had found a post on FB about a job working from home. I messaged the poster and they sent me an email address and an interview code to enter into hangouts. After I had passed the interview, they had asked me for my bank account information so that they could deposit money for me to buy equipment and software needed. That sounded way to fishy.

After getting all my information I was told I needed to buy multiple Google Play cards that cost me $150. Then I was told that I had to purchase a $50 Stream card before I could start work with them.
