Receive text by phone and they asked me to download telegram… I thought it was weird to do interview via text message…

I received a text stating they think I would make a good fit for their data entry role, they proceeded the interview and told me they wanted to offer me a position. I took it and they started I would receive a check to pick up my equipment I continued to tell them I don’t feel comfortable doing that and that I have my own equipment.
