I received a text message (iMessage) from a Hotmail email saying that my USPS package was unsuccessfully delivered and at the warehouse. The following directions were to reply “Y” and follow the listed link: “https://tacking-uspst-co.com/information”. I was hesitant because today is a holiday and USPS is closed. I copied the link into the browser and it looked like the USPS website. I got as far as putting in name, address, email, phone number and it then asked for a credit or debit card to process a $0.30 “redelivery fee.” I closed out of the browser and reported the text as junk and deleted it. About 15 minutes later I received the same text message (iMessage) from a different email address, Hotmail again though (the one I provided). I looked at it again and knew it was scamming. I’m unsure how I received these messages. This is the fake tracking number that was listed on the “USPS website” both times: 9300120111410471677883.
