I wanted to receive some tutoring assistance on my online exam, so I went to this website, thinking that it was an academic tutoring service, and I made an order of $25 through Zelle on April 16 for an expert to assist me with my online exam and paid for a A grade on the exam. When the day of the exam came, they did my exam, but they did not give me the grade that I wanted. Then the expert kept making excuses about why he didn't get me the promised grade. He made up this whole story saying that my college found out that I was using this service to get help on my exam and they sent the expert an email from the professor of my course that I got caught and that he had to purposely mess up my exam so that it wouldn't look obvious that someone else was doing my exam. He sent me the email from my professor under the college email system, and I believed it. He told me that to resolve this issue and to prevent me from getting into big trouble, they need $4000 from me for this cybersecurity system to be installed to take out all the traces of their IP address, so that the college doesn't recognize that they did my exam. I told them I don't have that kind of money. Then they kept trying to threaten me by saying that I could possibly getting expelled from this college and not be able to go back to college for 15-20 years, and possibly end up getting deported from this country if I am an international student. They asked me if I wanted to risk my whole college career on the line, and I said no. They said that their business is at risk because of this situation and that I don't understand what is going on because I am not in their shoes. They told me that their business could get shut down if I don't pay them money to fix this issue. Then they negotiated with me and asked if I could just pay $3000, and I said no. Then they asked me for just $1500, and I finally gave in and said fine. So I sent them $1500 through Zelle on April 20. They promised me a refund after they get the issue resolved. Then the next day, they told me that my professor's assistant (which there was no professor's assistant) said that they will not tell the college that this whole situation occurred if I gave them $2000. I said no. They then threatened me saying that they will have to email the college and the professor that they did my exam for me if I didn't pay them the money. I said you can do whatever you want, but I am not going to pay you! They negotiated the price just to make me give them some money. They then asked me to pay $1000. I said I don't have that kind of money. They then asked me for $500 and they can pay the rest. I said okay, fine. So I paid them another $500 through Zelle on April 21.

In addition to all this, I had experienced another problem that was not related to the situation up above. I made another order of $40 through Zelle for an expert to give me assistance in helping me do my assignments. On the day that they assisted me with my assignment, they told me that I have to pay $499.00 to receive the work that they did for me. They said that without paying that fee, it will look like I plagiarized the paper. They hadn't notified me regarding a fee of any sort when I first made the order, so I thought that it was very odd. I told them that if that was the case, then I don't need the paper. I asked for a refund back from the refund department, and they told me that it will take 24-48 hours to get my refund back. After 48 hours had passed, I never received my refund. I contacted them again, and they said that they were still processing my refund and the refund usually takes 5-7 days. They changed their words the last time I asked them how long it would take for my refund to be processed.

In the end, instead of getting a refund, I lost more money each time I spoke to them. After it was too late, I realized that it was a scam. So altogether, I lost $2065 in 4 different payments by Zelle from my bank.
