Earlier this month, I paid this service for college tutoring/assistance on assignments for two summer courses. Initially, I was told by their “Senior Academic Consultant”, someone named Sophia Miller, that if I send them $100 as a deposit they would be able to provide assistance that day. After I sent the money, they did not provide any assistance. A few days after this occurred, I paid them $300 as they began to request more money (they requested a total of $1,300 for providing assistance with both classes and claimed that I needed to pay them at least $400). I later discovered that they were using an AI language model instead of real people (as they claimed to have professionals with Master’s degrees and PhD’s to provide tutoring and assistance with college coursework). This same day, I received a call from their “financial consultant, someone named Jack Hudson, requesting $500 more then telling me that if I didn’t pay this amount they would discontinue their service and not assist me at all. I began to grow distrustful and uncomfortable with this service, as I had already requested to get on a payment plan because I didn’t have the amount of money they were asking for and they began threatening me (I can provide full documentation of this) because I asked for a refund of my money. They did not provide the service I paid them for, and they’ve now emailed my school claiming that I committed academic misconduct because I refused to pay them the remaining amount of money. Their financial consultant literally attempted to extort me by claiming if I did not send them the remaining amount of money they would send an email of academic misconduct to my school and are now threatening to damage my academic career. A man by the name of Sam Wilson, head of their Legal and Compliance Team, created a fraudulent legal notice, attempting to portray the document as an official notice by CHEA (Council for Higher Education Accreditation). I discovered the document was not at all legitimate after calling the company themselves and speaking to a representative over the phone. After I called the company “fraudulent scammers” upon discovering that the notice they sent me, claiming that it was from CHEA, was illegitimate they sent an email to my college professors claiming that I committed academic misconduct in hopes of getting me expelled because I did not fully pay them, as they did not provide the service they promised. They’ve also used a fake email account to contact my school and report me for academic misconduct, claiming that they did most of the work for my courses when this is absolutely false. In addition to this, and threatening me to pay for a service they didn’t even provide, this company has committed fraud, blackmail, and extortion. I will provide the message the Head of their Legal and Compliance team sent me, along with the illegitimate legal notice he created by impersonating CHEA (with my personal information blocked out, as per your request to not include any personally identifiable information) along additional documentation to support this upon request.
